Step-by-Step Instructions:

1. Preheat Your Fabric:

   • Before applying the transfer, preheat the fabric for about 5-10 seconds. This step removes any moisture and wrinkles from the fabric, allowing the transfer to adhere better.
   • Set your heat press to 320°F (160°C). If using an iron, set it to a medium-high heat setting (no steam).

2. Position the Transfer:

   • Place the DTF transfer with the design facing down onto the fabric where you want it to appear.
   • Ensure that the transfer is centered and straight. You can use a ruler or measuring tape for precision.

3. Apply Heat Using a Heat Press or Iron:

   • Using a Heat Press:

     • Place the fabric and transfer inside the heat press. Cover the transfer with a Teflon sheet or parchment paper (this is optional but helps to prevent direct contact with the heat platen).
     • Press at 320°F (160°C) for about 10-15 seconds with medium pressure. The transfer should adhere firmly to the fabric.

   • Using a Home Iron:

     • If you don’t have a heat press, you can use a home iron. Set it to a medium-high heat setting (no steam).
     • Apply firm pressure while ironing the transfer. Start by ironing over the edges and slowly move across the design. Press for about 15-20 seconds, making sure to cover all areas of the design evenly.

4. Peel the Transfer:

   • After the pressing time is complete, let the transfer cool down for a few seconds before peeling.
   • Peel the transfer slowly while it is still warm but not hot. The film should peel off easily, leaving the design adhered to the fabric. Be sure to pull in a smooth, steady motion.

5. Optional Post-Press (For Added Durability):

   • After peeling, you can press the transfer again for about 5-10 seconds to further secure the design and increase durability.
   • This is especially recommended if you used an iron or if the design will undergo heavy use.

6. Caring for Your Fabric:

   • After applying the DTF transfer, allow the fabric to cool completely.
   • Wash Inside Out in cold water to preserve the longevity of the transfer.
   • Avoid fabric softeners and bleach when washing, and tumble dry on low or air dry for best results.

Tips for Best Results:

• Make sure the fabric is clean and free of any dirt or oils before application.
• Always check the manufacturer’s instructions that came with the DTF transfers for specific recommendations, as some transfers might require slightly different temperatures or times.
• If using an iron, be sure to apply even pressure across the transfer for uniform results.
